Jorge Masvidal Casts Doubt On Dana White’s Claim That MMA Trained Zuckerberg Could Handle Most Guys

UFC CEO recently appeared on The Skinny Confidential podcast to defend Mark Zuckerberg’s combat credentials. The tech billionaire has publicly embraced mixed martial arts over the past few years, competing in jiu-jitsu tournaments and frequently training with professional combat stars.

But while White insists Zuckerberg is the real deal, not everyone in the MMA world is buying it. Among the skeptics is former UFC star Jorge Masvidal.

On the podcast, White stated: “All these guys that talk stuff about him on the internet, Zuckerberg will kick your a*s. He will beat the living sh*t out of you.”

Masvidal, however, wasn’t impressed. Reacting in a recent video, he laughed off the comments and questioned the idea that Zuckerberg could handle anyone serious.

“Alright, enough man. I’m gonna throw up if I keep seeing this stuff,” Masvidal said. “Zuckerberg looks like he fixes computers and s**t. I don’t know. I don’t think.”

Masvidal went on to argue that there’s a major difference between structured MMA training and the kind of unpredictable situations experienced by people who grew up in the streets.

“You get some construction worker or some Latin dude that just got out of jail, don’t give no f***, grew up figh ting in the streets. You better be careful, Dana,” he added. “I’ll put some money on it. I got some uncles and tios that’ll take it if you want to set it up.”

To White, Zuckerberg is a disciplined athlete who trains consistently, surfs regularly, and takes combat sports seriously.

White’s support also comes from a place of personal familiarity. After being invited by Zuckerberg to join Meta’s board of directors, White has seen firsthand how intensely the tech CEO approaches both business and training. He has described Meta board meetings as marathon sessions running from early morning until evening.
