Jordan Leavitt reveals fans misinterpreted his ‘twerk’ for him being gay

UFC prospect Jordan Leavitt said fans mistakook him for being gay following twerking celebration in the cage. Some fans even went so far that they sent him gratuitous pictures of themselves in hopes of soliciting the young talent.

Jordan Leavitt is a very enthusiastic and energetic kind of person. The 27-year-old was always actively dancing and posing whether it was during weigh in or after winning a fight. However, his dance and pose might misinterpret a lot of people.

For example, after defeating Trey Ogden at UFC Vegas 51 in April, Leavitt did a leg split followed by twerk as a celebration for his third victory in the UFC. Due to these suggestive dances, many MMA fans mistook him for being gay.

During an interview with MMA Uncensored, ‘The Monkey King’ told a funny story where some fans sending him messages to congratulate him on being an openly gay fighter.

“Because of my after-fight celebration – the split and the twerk – it was more of a jiggle, a butt jiggle. I wouldn’t say it was a twerk per se. You know, initially, I had a huge giant wave, like ‘you’re the first openly gay fighter!’, and I was like ‘okay cool I guess. I mean I’m not open.’” Leavitt said.

Leavitt also added that he received some crazy messages. People were sending him nudes trying to hit on him.

“So I got a lot of creepy posts about that. You know, pictures of certain parts of the male anatomy that I have never gotten before. All from a split and twerk. That’s all you have to do. So, if you’re looking for a man looking for a man, that’s all you gotta do, I guess.” Leavitt said.

Jordan Leavitt will be facing Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett at UFC Fight Night 211 on July 23 in Pimblett’s hometown London, England. Of course, he is planning to do some twerking again after defeating Pimblett. He is expecting a riot at the O2 Arena.

“I’m kind of excited, ’cause they’re (The O2 crowd) gonna get quiet when I finish the fight. And they’re probably gonna riot when I throw a twerk on them. So I’m excited, I’m really excited to meet him (Pimblett). I think he’s hilarious, I think the fight’s gonna be a lot of fun, and I’m intrigued to see how it’s gonna go.” Leavitt said during a recent interview with The Schmo.

Leavitt recently promised to twerk if he were to defeat Hometown favorite Paddy Pimblett.
