Joe Rogan & Tulsi Gabbard criticize Biden’s positioning on transgender people competing in sports

Joe Rogan recently had an interesting guest on his podcast – former Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard. This was the second time Gabbard was appearing on the podcast. Previously Rogan and Gabbard found a lot of common ground with Gabbard self describing as an independent democrat.

During the recent guest spot the two discussed another common ground – their opinions on trans inclusion in sports and particularly in women’s sports.

Rogan explained:
“At what point in time do you not understand you’re denying a child of a fair future? You’re denying them a future scholarship, where they could go to a university and pursue an education. Like, you’re f***ing them up because of this thing that doesn’t even affect you. You’re just doing it for this cult-like ideological perspective.”

Despite being a part of the Democratic party, Gabbard has pushed back on the issue and agreed with Rogan:

“The Democratic party of the past, the Democratic party that I joined, doesn’t exist anymore… The party of JFK [John F. Kennedy], of Dr. Martin Luther King, the party of inclusivity, the big tent party that welcomed and encouraged this marketplace of ideas and conversations, people who held different views, the party of the championed women and equality and the rights of people in our society. That party just… it doesn’t exist anymore. And instead we have a party that’s being led by people who have gone insane with this ideological fanaticism.”

Joe Rogan was once an outspoken opponent of trans athletes being allowed to compete in MMA. Rogan was a notable critic of Trans MMA veteran Fallon Fox and was subsequently called transphobic due to his opinions on Fox.

“Well the trans MMA thing was big. But it wasn’t, it wasn’t valid. It was people that don’t want any criticism whatsoever about trans people.”

“And I was like: ‘Look, I don’t have a problem with trans people right I have a problem with someone pretending that they’re a biological woman and fighting women.’.”

“Once you say you’re trans and everybody says okay I’ll fight her –
Fine. I’m fine with that. And in fact MMA is one of the best places for that
Because you know exactly who your opponent is. Unlike like this swimmer. Was it UPenn? Is that what it is? The swimmer that’s like lapping all these biological women, that’s f—-d because they don’t have a choice they have to compete. “

Gabbard previously discussed the topic with UFC Strawweight champion Carla Esparza and the two came to an agreement that it’s likely quite detrimental to female sports.

Previously Rogan condemned Lia Thomas participating in women’s NCAA races and called her the ‘straw that broke the camel’s back’.
