Joe Rogan sympathizes with Renee Good in ICE case

During episode #2437 of The Joe Rogan Experience, host Joe Rogan and Senator Rand Paul had a brief but pointed exchange about a tragic incident involving Renee Good, a Minnesota woman who was sh*t and eliminated by an ICE agent.

Their conversation, which took place within a broader discussion about immigration enforcement, revealed both men’s concerns about the incident and the complicated nature of ICE operations on American streets.

Rogan initiated the discussion by referencing the incident directly: “We have this terrible tragedy in Minnesota where that woman was sh*t. Which was horrible. I mean, I don’t know why I feel way worse when a woman gets sh*t, but I always do. Yeah, especially in that situation.”

The podcast host demonstrated that he had researched the circumstances surrounding the sh*oting, noting details about the ICE agent involved: “I understand that the officer that sh*t her apparently he had been dragged by a car like really recently. Which I would imagine also tensions very high, but it just seemed all kinds of wrong to me.”

Senator Paul responded by acknowledging the complexity of the situation and the difficulty of making definitive judgments without complete information.

“I think there is general consensus about getting rid of gang members, people committing crimes, r**ists, murderers, even among Democrats,” Paul said, before addressing the sh**ting more carefully: “You know, I don’t know that I want to go too much into the specifics of it because I don’t want to pass judgment like a jury would. Because really someone would have to go in and look specifically at every fact and every angle and every angle of camera.”

Paul expressed concern about potentially influencing future legal proceedings, asking rhetorically, “So I don’t like to judge criminal things that happen in our country and say that person needs to go to jail or that person’s innocent. I don’t know that I can make that judgment. And then am I coloring the situation for anybody who will have to make that judgment someday on some kind of jury?”

Rogan pressed further on the specifics, particularly regarding whether the sho*ting was justifiable: “When people are saying it’s justifiable because the car hit him, it seemed like she was kind of turning the car away. It seemed like she was out of her f**king mind to begin with. That lady seemed crazy, right? And she didn’t she move there specifically to get involved in all this?”

Rogan acknowledged uncertainty about the details: “She didn’t seem mentally healthy, but does that mean she should be sh*t in the head? Is there no other way to handle this?”

Rogan then provided additional context about Good’s activities: “And then you got these people that are showing up at these ICE people and they’re blocking traffic and she was one of them that was doing those kind of things where they think they’re an activist and they’re an agitator.”

Both men expressed sympathy for the challenges facing law enforcement while also voicing concerns about the methods being employed.
