Joe Rogan Slams Trans Swimmer Lia Thomas – Those Girls Have No Choice But To Compete

Joe Rogan has been tip toeing around issues involving transgendered individuals ever since his lucrative spotify deal kicked off.

Rogan had secured a multiyear exclusive licensing deal with Spotify back in May of 2020. The deal is rumored to be worth in the neighborhood of $100 million per year.

For the legendary podcaster and comedian trans issues are a minefield considering how he caused quite a bit of backlash inside spotify when he joined.

“I’m personally bothered by his transphobic comments and am concerned with the way he might spread misinformation,” one Spotify employee wrote last year on an internal networking channel, Business Insider reported about the employees pressuring Spotify to ditch Rogan.

But whereas Rogan is A ok with women choosing to fight a transgender individual in MMA as long as they’re aware of it he’s not as ok with what’s been happening in swimming.

Lia Thomas is a transgendered swimmer who is currently member of the UPenn swim team. Thomas has been competing with the male swimmers for the past 3 years. After transitioning Thomas has been lapping over female competitors and breaking statewide records. Her campaign had only been thwarted recently when she swam against a female swimmer who is transitioning to becoming a Man.

Rogan was recently a guest on podcast of fellow comedian Tim Dillon and addressed the matter:

“Once you say you’re trans and everybody says okay I’ll fight her – Fine. I’m fine with that. And in fact MMA is one of the best places for that because you know exactly who your opponent is.”

“Unlike like this swimmer. Was it UPenn? Is that what it is? The swimmer that’s like lapping all these biological women, that’s f—-d because they don’t have a choice they have to compete. “
