Popular podcast host Joe Rogan has sparked discussion online with his candid comments about the financial opportunities available on content subscription platform OF.
During a throwback episode of his show featuring Derek of More Plates More Dates, Rogan discussed the platform’s earning potential after mentioning a female content creator who reportedly earned $40 million in a single year.
“They had this one lady who was saying she made $40 million this year on OF,” Rogan remarked, expressing surprise at the substantial figure. “Oh, yeah, that’s nuts. 40 million.”
The conversation continued with Rogan noting claims that the content creator maintains her virginity and doesn’t post explicit content, though he expressed skepticism about these assertions. “Sure, sure, she’s a virgin. Sure,” he commented with apparent doubt.
According to Rogan, the creator mentioned that from her $40 million earnings, a single subscriber contributed $5 million. This revelation seemed to highlight the lucrative nature of the platform for certain creators who build dedicated followings.
Rogan then shared his perspective on the economic choices facing young women today. “I mean, I don’t want to tell anybody to not do anything. Like, ladies, you do what you want, you do you,” he said, before making the statement that has since circulated widely on social media.
“If I was a young, pretty girl, I’d probably be on OF. I’d probably make some money,” Rogan admitted frankly. He further questioned the financial logic of traditional employment options, adding, “Why would I want to be a waitress?”
Rogan previously shared an image of himself as a woman that his daughter allegedly took.

OF, which launched in 2016, has become known for allowing creators to monetize their content through subscription fees and tips, with many earning substantial incomes.
While some view platforms like OF as empowering for content creators who can profit directly from their work, others express concerns about potential exploitation and long-term career implications.
Rogan’s remarks have generated significant attention online, with many discussing the economic realities that make content creation platforms increasingly attractive compared to traditional employment for those who can build a following.
