UFC commentator and podcast Joe Rogan sat down with comedian David Cross on a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience. During the conversation, the two landed on the ongoing conflict with Iran.
Rogan was clearly on the skeptical side of the current military engagement, but it was ironical since days before he was photographed greeting Donald Trump warmly at UFC 327.

When Cross asked Rogan directly, “What do you think of what’s going on in Iran?” Rogan did not hold back.
“It’s f**king terrifying. All of it’s terrifying,” Rogan said. “Anytime you’re involved with… you’re throwing missiles into towns and blowing things up, blowing up infrastructure, blowing up bridges, and Israel’s blowing up Lebanon now. It’s like, what the f**k are we doing? Like, how is this still going on?”
Cross then added, “It’s well, it’s also clear there was no plan. Zero. None.”
Cross brought up Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s long-standing warnings about Iran’s nuclear capabilities, prompting Rogan to reflect on the history of those claims.
“They’ve always been saying that,” Rogan said. “Trump was the first one to go, ‘All right, let’s do something about it.’ But it seems like they didn’t know what the they’re doing.”
Cross pushed further, noting that one of the most appealing aspects of Trump for many of his supporters was the promise of avoiding new wars. Rogan agreed without hesitation.
“Most people that voted for Trump or wanted Trump to be in office, one of the things that was attractive was this. No, no more wars,” Rogan said. “And now we’re in one of the craziest ones.”
The conversation also turned to the geopolitical picture, with Rogan raising concerns about the involvement of other global powers.
“China’s flying in cargo planes filled with stuff,” he said. “We don’t know what the f**k’s is in there.”
Cross then added: “And Russia is giving Iran information about where our troops are.”
Rogan summed then replied sarcastically, “Super fun. Great times.”
The exchange stands in contrast to Rogan’s public appearance alongside Trump at UFC 327, where the two exchanged a notably warm greeting in front of cameras.
Rogan had previously endorsed Trump ahead of the 2024 election, citing various reasons, including concerns over media censorship and what he saw as political overreach by the left.
