Joe Rogan claims Red Light Therapy Improved His Vision, and he no longer needs glasses

During episode #2436 of The Joe Rogan Experience with comedian Whitney Cummings, host Joe Rogan made compelling claims about how red light therapy has dramatically improved his vision, potentially eliminating his need for reading glasses.

Rogan revealed that his vision has significantly improved since incorporating red light therapy into his routine. “My vision was on a downward like very steady,” Rogan explained during the conversation. He specifically mentioned reading glasses he kept nearby: “I have these things here, these reading glasses. I don’t use those at all anymore. I can completely read my phone now with no reading glasses. And before it was a blurry mess.”

Both Rogan and Cummings discussed their personal experiences with the therapy, with Rogan stating: “For both of us, it’s improved our vision.”

Rogan uses a full-body red light therapy machine manufactured by Gary Brecka’s company. “I bought Gary Brecka’s machine,” he said, describing it as “a big giant crazy body machine.” His routine is straightforward: “I just lay there for 20 minutes.”

Addressing safety concerns about exposing his eyes directly to the light, Rogan dismissed the protective eyewear some users wear: “F**k your glasses. I’m here to tell you I’m living proof.” He reasoned: “Why does it not bother me at all? It doesn’t seem that strong when it’s in my eyes. It’s not like I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I can’t look at it.’ If it was that bad to look at, wouldn’t it be hard to look at? Like the sun is hard to look at because it’s bad to look at. That’s right. You know, bright lights are hard to look at. This is not hard to look at at all.”

Beyond vision improvement, Rogan explained the broader therapeutic effects: “Red light, it brings collagen to your skin. It gives your skin a more youthful appearance. It helps your entire body heal better. It helps your mitochondria.”

Rogan’s enthusiasm for red light therapy represents his ongoing interest in biohacking and wellness optimization, particularly through approaches that don’t require pharmaceutical intervention.
