Joe Rogan claims he would 100% shave his head even if he could have hair

Joe Rogan has made it clear that his bald look is here to stay, revealing during an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience that he would continue shaving his head even if he had the option to grow hair.

During the episode with comedian Bryan Callen, the UFC commentator discussed his decision to go bald approximately 12 years ago. When Callen asked about his shaved head, Rogan didn’t hesitate in his response about the lifestyle choice that has become part of his signature appearance.

“It’s way better,” Rogan explained when discussing the decision to shave his head. He emphasized the simplicity of the choice, stating: “it’s like one less thing to think about.”

This marks a sharp contrast to a younger Joe Rogan, who spent much of his twenties battling male pattern baldness. Between the ages of 26 and 28, Rogan underwent three separate hair transplant surgeries after first trying Minoxidil in hopes of saving his receding hairline.

While the procedures initially provided fuller coverage, his natural hair loss continued around the transplanted areas, ultimately leaving him unhappy with the results.

By his early thirties, Rogan’s hairline had once again become uneven. As he moved into his forties, it was clear the transplants had failed to conceal his progressing baldness. Finally, Rogan made the decision to abandon treatments altogether and shave his head completely. Rather than fighting it any longer, Rogan embraced the bald look.

The decision appears to be as much about personal preference and lifestyle as it is about practicality.

Callen, who still has hair, expressed some hesitation about making the same choice himself, noting concerns about his head shape. “I don’t have a good head, it’s bumpy,” Callen admitted, suggesting he might opt for a different look entirely if he went bald, joking about potentially growing mutton chops instead.
