Joe Rogan appreciates Hugh Jackman’s decision to not risk his life transforming physique to play Wolverine in Deadpool 3

Joe Rogan recently had the pleasure of hosting a PED expert of More plates more dates infamy on his podcast. Rogan and Derek discussed a variety of topics including PED use by celebs, fitness models, actors and even UFC athletes.

While neither Derek or Rogan are opponents of PED use outside of competition settings there’s a question of hypocrisy when you use your biochemically engineered physique to sell a product.

And while many Hollywood stars are rumored to have used PEDs to get the desired physique for a project there are seldom any who would admit it. Mickey Rourke is one of the rare outliers. Rourke openly acknowledged his PED use for academy nominated movie The Wrestler.

This prompted the two to talk about Chris Hemsworth, Hugh Jackman and Dwayne the Rock Johnson.

According to Joe Rogan, Hugh Jackman utilized PEDs to get the “Wolverine” body.

And while Jackman is confirmed to reprise his role in Deadpool 3, he confirmed he will be using CGI to recreate his physique as opposed to the traditional route he’s used in the past.

Rogan discusses this with Derek in an episode of the podcast Joe Rogan Experience called More Plates More Dates.

“They’re gonna CGI it. He said that he can’t do this anymore, and it’s also he’s in his 50s.”

“I’m not going to commit to f**king killing myself potentially for (a movie).”

Jackman is 54 and is increasingly health conscious. He has had to deal with a type of skin cancer called basal cell carcinoma (“BCC”) multiple times according to his publicly divulged posts and interviews.

“I mean what do you think that a guy like that gets on to get that big? I mean what kind of stuff? I’ve never gotten that big. So when you get that big like, what are you on?”

The two touched upon Hugh Jackman while discussing Dwayne the Rock Johnson. Johnson looked absolutely suspicious in Black Adam and was suspected of PED use. But again, it’s not the PED use that’s bothering the podcasters, it’s the hypocrisy.

Johnson has been talking a lot about longevity and how his life has changed now that he’s 50 – all while looking more muscular and diced than ever.

“The Rock should come clean right now! He should make a video in response to the liver king video, ‘I need to talk to you because The Rock’s been lying.’ There’s not a f***ing chance in hell he’s clean, not a chance in hell, as big as The Rock is, at 50.” – Rogan joked.

Rogan might have a bone to pick with Johnson. While Rogan was in the eye of the storm, Johnson initially sided with him – and accepted the Covid 19 apology Rogan first posted. This was likely an attempt to secure a spot on the broadcast to promote his business Teremana Blanco.

Bur Johnson condemned Rogan a day later after a suspicious NGO reminded Johnson of the N-word compilation that was used to cancel him at the time
