Joe Rogan Addresses Passing On Meeting Epstein For The First Time

Joe Rogan revealed during episode #2451 of The Joe Rogan Experience with guest Cheryl Hines that he appears in the Jeffrey Epstein files for declining to meet the disgraced financier.

“I’m in the files for not going,” Rogan stated. “Jeffrey Epstein was trying to meet with me.”

When Hines expressed surprise, Rogan continued: “Yeah. And I was like, what?”

He elaborated on the circumstances: “This was like 2017. One of my guests was trying to get me to meet him. I was like, are you high? Like, what the heck are you talking about?”

Rogan explained his decision to decline came after doing basic research on Epstein.

Rogan stated: “Especially after I Googled him. I was like, what the heck are you talking about?” he said.

When Hines asked about the reasoning behind the proposed meeting, Rogan responded: “For what reason would you?”

He acknowledged that the situation would only have made sense “if I was a guy who is like sucking up to the rich and powerful. If I was really interested in hanging out with rich and powerful people.”

Rogan emphasized the meeting was never a realistic possibility for him.

“I would have never went anyway. It’s not even a possibility that I would have went,” he stated firmly.

The podcast host reflected on how some people become “intoxicated by being in a circle of rich and powerful people even if they don’t even have any ambitions of being one of those people. They just want to be around them.”

During the conversation, Rogan and Hines discussed how Epstein operated by surrounding himself with respected figures.

“What he was doing was very clever in that he was getting all of these very powerful and very respected people together,” Rogan explained. “And you would figure like, oh, if that guy’s there, if that lady’s here, this is fine. Clinton’s here. How could this be bad? You know, he’s Steven Pinker. How could this be bad? You know, he’s a genius.”

Rogan noted that Epstein “would bring all these people in and he’d like to be around famous people and entertainers and a lot of intellectuals and professors.”
