UFC women’s strawweight fighter, Cheyanne Vlismas gave a very strange vague statement about her plans to return to the UFC cage. Vlismas went on to allude to being overseas and provided personal reasons as reasons for her absence from the cage.
At the center of the ordeal appears to be a problem with her husband JP Buys. Following her interview with MMA FIghting – JP Buys revealed he believes his wife is in hiding with another man right now.
“No one knows where I’m at, and I’m actually keeping it that way. .A lot of things happened before and after my fight and I decided what’s best is to just escape. I’ve been gone now for two weeks and I love it. I’m overseas and just living my life.” said Vlismas during a recent interview with MMA Fighting.
After winning her latest fight with Mallory Martin in December last year, Vlismas went overseas and refused to reveal her whereabouts. She explained vaguely that she needs to escape and that’s her best choice right now.
Her husband, JP Buys, replied to a tweet with the news from MMA Fighting and accused his wife of cheating.
“Hiding from what? In a country where no one knows where she’s at? Everyone here knows she has been in Batumi, Georgia with Roman, the same guy she has been having an affair with behind my back. While still married.” Wrote JP Buys.

Both JP Buys and Cheyanne Vlismas entered the UFC by winning the Dana White Contender Series in 2020. Vlismas continued to impress people and has gone 2-1 after her fight in DWCS. She earned the Fight of the Night performance bonus for her latest fight.
Unlike his wife, JP Buys isn’t doing so well in the UFC. After his victory in DWCS, he lost back-to-back against Bruno Silva and Montel Jackson.
