Jamahal Hill TKOs Thiago Santos, all the while losing on judges scorecards

Jamahal Hill is a staple of Dana White’s Contender Series – a newer feeder promotion with less restraints than TUF but he still performed on the ‘TUF finale’ card.

Hill clashed with former title challenger Thiago Santos.

Santos is a dangerous veteran but has been struggling ever since Jon Jones defeated him – and has since racked up a 1-4 record.

Hill is 7 years younger and on the up and up. Despite struggling early to find his shots he made it to Round 4 in the main event of UFC Vegas 59. Hill rocked Santos earyl on which led to a heavy barrage of strikes from Hill.

He managed to cut off the cage and trapped Santos. Despite the punishment Santos appeared to survive initially. He made it to the fence. Hill kept piling on massive elbows. And that was all she wrote – ref Herb Dean stepped in seeing Santos struggle to defend himself.

This makes Jamahal Hill’s rate 100%.

This performance might turn out to be a staple for Hill who definitely represents a new and much needed blood in a division that’s been struggling ever since longtime champion Jon Jones abandoned it.

The card going 10 for 10 on finishes is the first time that has occurred since UFC Fight Night 55 in 2014.

Official Result: Jamahal Hill def. Thiago Santos by TKO, Round 4, 2:31

Jamahal Hill was also a hot topic on social media due to the fact that he was mistakenly placed on the card of the upcoming payperview event in place of challenger Leon Edwards.
