Jake Paul wants to face Paddy in the Fatty phase: Delays challenge after UFC 282

Yesterday, MMA media was all abuzz with news of the latest challenge. It all started when UFC’s rising star, Paddy Pimblett, questioned the authenticity of Jake Paul’s knock down of Anderson Silva.

Paul offered to prove his skills to Paddy first hand – and was even willing to put quite a sizeable premium on the line.

Paul gave an offer to Paddy Pimblett saying: “I have a proposition for you, since you wouldn’t rig a fight, right, let’s spar. Fly to Puerto Rico and we will get you a private jet and we can do five, three-minute rounds of boxing,”

Paul then added: “If you win I will give you one million dollars.”

Pimblett accepted the challenge without hesitation and responded immediately. He said, “Challenge accepted. We are not going to Puerto Rico when I’m fighting next Saturday. If you want to come and spar, get to the PI next week. As I say, I fight Saturday, I’ll chill Sunday and I’ll beat you up Monday. Offers there.”

Paul then increased his offer of sparring with Pimblett.

He tweeted, “Fella my team told me you have been trying to book me for ur podcast, Jan 5th. So I’m sending you a jet to bring you to Puerto Rico. Both of our teams will film. We spar, 5 rounds and then we can do your podcast. By then you will be back to your normal weight. No excuses?”

This isn’t the first time Pimblett’s toyed with dissing the Paul brothers. Previously Pimblett claimed he would finish both Jake and Logan Paul in MMA in one night.

The host asked Paddy Pimblett,

“do you think Logan will ever come to UFC?”

Paddy replied straightforwardly with a No.

The host went on to ask, “They are both over like 20 pounds right, Jake, and they are both big.”

Paddy replied,” yeah, they’re big. I’d fight both of them at 185lbs on the same night. ”

“Both of them? Back to Back?” host inquired.

“That’s a pay per view,” the show’s host claimed. “Paddy the Baddy vs Paul Brothers at 185”, the host added.

“They can weigh whatever they want,” host prodded further.

“No, no they have to get weight down; it’s a fight,” the other host claimed.

Paddy replied, “It’s a fight. It won’t get sanctioned if they wont…”

“So fine, give them. Jake can get under; both can get.” the host said. Paddy replied, “so, get it to 185 over the week course, no b**ching.”

It’s interesting to see Paul is willing to let Paddy bloat up back to 200lbs prior to their sparring session. Here’s to hoping something comes of this.
