Jake Paul was left bleeding during training as his match with Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia the next week approaches.
After going 6-0 against celebs and MMA icons the YouTuber-turned-boxer has taken a significant step up to meet Fury, his first true professional boxer. Based on a video posted to social media page today, he is still engaged in rigorous training.
If he defeats Tommy Fury later this month, Jake Paul will receive a spot in the rankings in the WBC cruiserweight division.
After a taxing exercise, Paul is shown in a video getting inspired by former world title contender Leon Love and his coach Danny Smith.
The video’s caption reads: “No blood, no glory. Jake Paul is ready. Tommy Fury is ready. #PaulFury Sunday, February 26 from Saudi Arabia.”
In the comments, fans praised him as a “warrior” and joked that he would send Fury “back to reality TV.” However, several fans have also questioned how recent the video is.
Paul isn’t dead set on just boxing – he has multiple ventures in the works including courting MMA’s hottest free agent – Francis Ngannou.
Jake Paul wants to recruit Ngannou as a multi-disciplinary combat sports athlete for his promotion. Jake Paul intends to represent Ngannou in both boxing and MMA in the future.
Paul has spent the previous weeks of his training in Dubai. He is getting used to the very different fighting environment compared to the United States. On the other hand, Fury chose to remain in the UK and has been training with his father John.
