Jake Paul details private chat with Anderson Silva moments after end of boxing bout

Last month, YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul increased his winning streak in professional boxing to six.

He defeated UFC icon Silva on route to a victory.

The 47-year-old Silva was generally regarded as Paul’s hardest opponent so far in his boxing career. However, Paul pulled through the test.

After the bout, Paul and Silva sat in a respectful position on their knees next to each other. They spoke briefly, but the audio from their conversation could not be heard on the video feed.

When Jake Paul and Anderson Silva bowed to one another after their match, Jake Paul said that Anderson Silva called him a “champion.”

Logan questioned Jake Paul about the conversation from a recent Impaulsive episode. Paul said, “Oh, he said, ‘No one can ever talk about you again’ ‘No one can ever talk about you again, you are a champion’.”

When Silva was knocked out in the eighth round, fans said that Paul “fixed” the outcome by using a punch that “didn’t land.” Regarding the allegations, Paul said to The MMA Hour:

“I lose faith in my generation and my peers and us as a society and a world when I see that type of stuff and that type of stupidity. It just sucks. It sucks because I worked so hard for this. I think smart people with intelligence are giving me props and respect.”

“I dedicate everything, sacrifice everything, every single day, bust my balls, have a 15-person team working around the clock to help me become the best boxer possible, and when I do something like beating Anderson Silva, they try to take it away from me. But I know deep down, and I guess that’s all that really matters.”

Paul might have already had his next opponent picked out when he squared off with controversial kickboxer Andrew Tate in a Dubai boxing facility less than two weeks after the Silva bout. Since Tate gained enormous internet prominence at the beginning of this year, Paul and Tate have been connected to a fight, with Paul teasing “negotiations” between the two sides.
