Jake Paul Claims Anthony Joshua Punch That Broke His Jaw ‘Didn’t Even Hurt’

Jake Paul appeared on The Pivot Podcast alongside Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nakisa Bidarian, sitting down with Ryan Clark, Channing Crowder, and Fred Taylor for a conversation that covered boxing, business, and at least one broken jaw.

Crowder brought up the injury directly, pointing out that Anthony Joshua had broken Paul’s jaw in their recent matchup. Paul’s response stopped the room.

“The punch didn’t even hurt,” Paul said. “I swear on everything, brother. Like it didn’t hurt at all.”

Clark was not buying it. “I don’t believe that, Jake,” he said.

Paul compared the experience to something far more painful in his view. “It’s like when you stub your toe, bro, that hurts way more than getting hit by Anthony Joshua, honestly,” he said.

The hosts had already seen the X-ray from the match and made sure to bring it up. Paul opened the subject with his familiar line.

He said, “Pain is temporary. Legacy is forever.”

Clark fired back: “I saw that X-ray. X-ray is forever.”

Rather than treating the broken jaw as a setback, Paul spoke about the match as one of his favorite experiences.

“That was like the most fun I’ve ever had,” he said. “The hardest I’ve had to push myself physically and mentally and not just being a businessman.”

He tied his willingness to absorb punishment back to his identity as a competitor. “I enjoy it. I’m a fig hter at heart. I’m a competitor at heart. I’m an athlete,” he said. “I think I would be pissed off at myself if when I was 40 I looked back and was like, damn, I could have kept on competing.”

The podcast appearance also served as a platform to discuss the merger between MVP and PFL, which Paul said brings more infrastructure, capital, and figh ters to the organization. With the deal in place, Paul made clear his ambitions inside the ring have not changed.
