Jake Paul Challenges Conor McGregor to Box him in Ireland

Social media influencer and professional boxer, Jake Paul, has recently challenged Conor McGregor to a co-main event boxing match in Dublin, Ireland, on May 20th. The challenge was extended shortly after McGregor’s statement regarding the upcoming match between Paul and MMA veteran Nate Diaz.

McGregor, who has previously faced Diaz twice in 2016 with a 1-1 record, confidently stated that Diaz would “slap the head off” Jake Paul.

In response, Jake Paul took to Twitter to exchange words with McGregor, claiming that he is a better boxer and will do what McGregor couldn’t, which is to knock Diaz out.

Paul’s upcoming match with Diaz is scheduled to take place on August 5th, which is after the rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano set for May 20th. However, Jake Paul has proposed that he and McGregor be the co-main event the same night as Taylor vs. Serrano in Dublin.

While it remains to be seen whether or not McGregor will accept the challenge, the Irishman has previously competed in boxing matches, with a loss against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2017. McGregor’s future in boxing remains uncertain, with his last professional outing being a loss to Dustin Poirier in UFC 264.

That being said McGregor is very much in an exclusive UFC contract rendering any such event highly unlikely.

Jake Paul, on the other hand, has amassed an impressive boxing record, with 3 wins and 1 loss. His loss came against Tommy Fury in February, where Paul was unable to knock out his opponent and lost by decision. However, Paul is known for his knockout power, with all 3 of his previous wins coming by way of knockout.
