Jake Paul accepts KSI as a backup opponent after Nate Diaz arrest warrant issued

KSI recently challenged Jake Paul to a match in August, and it seems like Jake Paul has agreed to it. This challenge comes after Paul’s upcoming opponent Nate Diaz is facing charges for knocking out a Logan Paul lookalike.

This past weekend, Nate Diaz made headlines when he knocked out Logan Paul look-alike Rodney Peterson during a scrap in New Orleans. The MMA icon is now being held accountable for his actions. This controversial situation has set the stage for KSI and Jake Paul to potentially face off in August, and fans are eager to see what will happen.

At the Misfits x DAZN Series 006 boxing event, Diaz previously found himself in the middle of a brawl as well. Diaz threw a water bottle at celebrity Chase DeMoor during the event, which led to a huge altercation.

Later on, Diaz put Rodney Peterson in a chokehold which caused Peterson to go unconscious. However, the New Orleans police department issued an arrest warrant against Diaz for second-degree battery. As a result, it’s unclear if Diaz will be able to go forward with his scheduled match against Paul.

KSI seized on this opportunity to challenge Jake Paul to a match. In a tweet, KSI expressed his willingness to step in as a replacement opponent for Paul if Diaz is unable to compete.

He tweeted:

Nothing is official just yet, and it’s even unclear if this legal dispute will ultimately stop the match between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz. However, KSI is prepared to step in just in case.

In response to KSI’s challenge, Jake Paul accepted him as a backup opponent. In response, Paul tweeted:

While it’s still uncertain whether Diaz will be able to fight or not, the prospect of KSI and Paul facing off is already generating a lot of buzz.
