Josh Emmett is underappreciated and struggling to get his name out there. Although he had some incredible matches inside the Octagon, his excellent work may not have caught the attention of the audience.
Emmett made his UFC debut in May 2016.
At UFC 210 in April 2017, he suffered his first professional defeat at the hands of Desmond Green. Later, Josh won consecutive bouts against Ricardo Lamas and Felipe Arantes. However, he suffered the second defeat of his professional career against Jeremy Stephens. Josh was injured because of the match, which prevented him from participating in the action for more than a year.
After recovering, he defeated guys like Michael Johnson, Mirsad Bektic, Shane Burgos, Dan Ige, and Calvin Kattar. However, he suffered from a second knee injury during his bout with Burgos. This forced him to sit out for an additional 1.5 years.
Following the Kattar bout, the UFC gave him a crack at the interim title shot. Prior to his title bout against Yair Rodriguez at UFC 284, some old photos have emerged.
The biggest match of Emmett’s career will be the one against Yair Rodriguez. The winner will have a title to their name even if it is just the interim title. While Yair Rodriguez has had some USADA issues, Josh Emmettt has never failed a test or been suspended by USADA.
However, MMA fans are not on board the Josh Emmett hype train due to the fact he’s been spotted with a pretty bad case of swollen pectorals previously. Over the years, people have shared Josh’s photos and drawn attention to him allegedly suffering from gynecomastia.
To most MMA fans, gynecomastia is synonimous with Israel Adesanya who suffered from a fairly bad case before UFC 253 match against Paulo Costa in 2020. Fans saw that Adesanya’s right side pectoral muscle was enlarged a week before the event.
Gynecomastia is a common side effect that may result from PED usage.
It looks like Josh Emmett has the same issue in some of the images posted by fans. However, Emmett’s history of negative tests refutes any allegations of PED use.
Emmett’s pecs seem to have reverted back to factory settings with February stills of Emmett showing a different picture.
