Hunter Biden Targeting MMA debut Against Don Jr or Eric Trump

Hunter Biden has set his sights on a very unconventional debut. The 56-year-old son of former President Joe Biden publicly issued a challenge to Donald Trump’s two eldest sons, Don Jr. and Eric, proposing a cage match that would make for one of the more unusual matchups in recent memory.

According to sources, the announcement came while Hunter was promoting a forthcoming road tour alongside gonzo journalist Andrew Callaghan. In a social media post, he laid out the plan in straightforward terms.

“[Callaghan] asked me to come out on the Channel 5 Carnival Tour at the end of the month,” Biden said. “I think we start in Phoenix and then we go to San Diego and we end in Albuquerque.”

He then dropped the challenge that immediately caught attention across social media.

“I think he’s trying to organize a cage match, me versus Eric and Don Jr.,” Hunter continued. “I told him I’d do it, 100 percent in, if he can pull it off, and if he can’t, I’m still coming.”

On paper, the physical matchup presents some interesting dynamics. Hunter stands around 6 feet tall and has made his health a clear priority in recent years, rebuilding his life after a very public struggle with dependency.

Don Jr., 48, is similarly around 6 feet and well known for his dedication to weight training. Eric, 42, is the tallest of the trio at approximately 6 feet 4 inches, though his primary athletic pursuit is golf, a sport he shares with his father.

The challenge comes at a complicated moment for Hunter financially. A legal filing submitted by his attorney Barry Coburn on April 6 in Washington, D.C., where the former first son is being sued by his former legal team at Winston and Strawn, revealed that he is now carrying approximately $17 million in debt and is no longer based in the United States.

The filing plainly states that “Mr. Biden lives abroad” and argues that he “cannot afford” to settle his outstanding legal fees. The law firm, which represented Hunter in his tax and firearms charges cases along with several other legal matters, claims he failed to pay bills “substantially in excess of $50,000.” Coburn declined to comment and did not specify Hunter’s current location.

While no official residence has been confirmed, Hunter was spotted in South Africa last year, the birthplace of his wife Melissa with whom he shares his youngest child. The couple was photographed during a trip to Cape Town in May 2025, a visit that prompted President Trump to revoke Hunter’s Secret Service protection, citing the costs associated with international travel.

The prospect of a Biden-Trump cage match has done nothing to soften the long-standing rivalry between the two families. Don Jr. has made no secret of his contempt for comparisons between himself and Hunter, particularly when it comes to their respective business histories.

When Business Insider drew parallels between Hunter’s work with a Ukrainian energy company and Don Jr.’s own commercial ventures, the elder Trump son pushed back sharply on social media.

“The difference between me and Hunter Biden?” Don Jr. wrote. “I’ve been a businessman and serial investor my entire adult life. [Hunter] became a ‘businessman’ after his dad got elected. I joined a Venture Capital Firm that invests in private American companies – Nothing to do with the government. He sat on foreign boards and was peddling influence to the highest bidder to change government policy. Oh, he’s also a felon cr*ckhead and I’m not. Thanks for playing, guys!”

Despite that rhetoric, Don Jr. and Eric have faced their own scrutiny over commercial activities, particularly in the defense and technology sectors. As reported by The Wall Street Journal, the brothers recently invested in Powerus, a Florida-based defense startup competing for Pentagon drone contracts.

The company, founded in 2025, is pursuing a share of the Pentagon’s $1.1 billion Drone Dominance initiative and is in the process of merging with a publicly traded golf company to secure a NASDAQ listing.

Don Jr.’s interests extend into the fast-growing world of prediction markets as well. He serves as a strategic advisor to Kalshi and holds both an advisory role and a board seat at Polymarket, two of the leading platforms in an industry that drew widespread attention during the 2024 presidential race by accurately forecasting Donald Trump’s victory over Kamala Harris.

The platforms operate as exchanges rather than traditional sportsbooks, placing them under the jurisdiction of the federal Commodity Futures Trading Commission rather than individual state regulators. Nevada state senator Dina Titus has described the arrangement as a “backdoor way” to legalizing sports wagering without adequate safeguards.

Whether or not Callaghan can pull the event together remains to be seen. But Hunter Biden has made one thing clear: he will be on that tour regardless.
