Two fan-favorites, Jorge Masvidal and Kevin Holland, reportedly got into a heated argument just days before their respective bouts at UFC 287.
According to a video clip posted on Twitter, Masvidal and Holland were involved in a conflict that had to be broken up by others.
The person who captured the footage claimed that things got even more intense than what was shown in the clip. The individual tweeted, “Argument lmao sh*t was intense in person. I didn’t film the end, but it got worse.”
Before the video of the altercation emerged online, Holland took to Instagram to address the incident. He stated that the UFC would probably switch up his opponent again, as they did for UFC 279, after things got physical between him and Chimaev. Holland’s post suggests that the incident with Masvidal may have jeopardized his upcoming bout.
It is currently unknown what caused the argument between Masvidal and Holland. This is not the first time the two have been involved in situations like this. Holland had a confrontantion with Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 281, resulting in a change of opponents. Masvidal is also no stranger to controversy, as he is scheduled to face a criminal trial next month for an alleged assault on Colby Covington.
