Highlights: Alistair Overeem knocks down Badr Hari for convincing victory

The main event of today’s “Glory: Collision 4” event featured the much-awaited trilogy match between Alistair Overeem and Badr Hari. The bout card was broadcast live from Arnhem, Netherlands’ GelreDome.

In their first encounter in 2008, Overeem was able to KO Hari in only one round. In their rematch the following year, Badr got his vengeance by knocking Alistair out in the first round of the K-1 World Grand Prix Semi-Finals.

As the main event of “Glory: Collision 4” started, and Badr Hari cracked Alistair Overeem with a powerful right hook. Overeem changed positions and made an effort to retaliate. Overeem then dodges blows while charging back with powerful hooks.

The second round began with Hari in charge and using a higher volume to whittle away at Overeem. Alistair delivered a powerful uppercut in the last thirty seconds. Despite staying upright, Hari was obviously shaken by the hit.

According to open scoring, Alistair Overeem needed a 10-8 round to force an extra period when the third and final round started. Overeem managed to knock out Hari early on however he was able to recover.

Overeem knocked him back down with another powerful combination. Hari gets up again and manages to survive to hear the last horn.
