Gervonta Davis domestic violence case dropped

In a statement posted on her Instagram account, Vanessa Posso confirmed that she was withdrawing her previous allegations of domestic violence against Gervonta Davis.

Expressing her desire to maintain privacy, Posso acknowledged that recent events had taken an emotional toll on all parties involved.

Posso stated that amidst the heightened emotions, she made an unnecessary call to law enforcement. She also admitted that Davis had not caused any harm to her or their daughter.

She wrote: “These past days have been hurtful, and extremely exhausting for all parties involved. I pride myself on being extremely private; this situation was the last thing I wanted to be made public. The state of our relationship has been in a fragile space and Gervonta and I were both at fault for the argument.”

“While the emotions were running high I made an unnecessary call to law enforcement at an intense moment while I was frantic. Gervonta did not harm me or our daughter. Today, we have sought the help necessary to move forward with our lives. I am confident that we will succeed within our co-parenting dynamic with the counselling provided to us.”

According to a report by TMZ, the domestic violence allegations against professional boxer Gervonta Davis have recently been dropped. Vanessa Posso (the mother of Davis’ daughter) publicly withdrew her accusations five months ago.

Prosecutors quoted that Davis will finish a parenting course and an anger management course. According to a Broward County Sheriff’s Office incident report, Davis was arrested in December in Florida. He was charged with misdemeanour domestic violence allegation after reportedly hitting a lady with a ‘closed hand-type slap’ and leaving her with a lip abrasion.

TMZ also released a tape of the 911 call made by the victim: “He’s going to kill me!… I need help, please! I’m trying to go home. I have my baby in the car, and he attacked me in front of the kid. And, now he’s messing up my tires!”

In response to the allegations, Gervonta Davis broke his silence through an Instagram post that has since been deleted. In the post, Davis vehemently denied ever laying a hand on his child’s mother or their daughter. Expressing frustration at the situation, he emphasized that he had been silent for too long due to the absence of a media team, public relations support, or legal representation.

The post included a photo of a young girl, presumably Davis’ daughter. She was engrossed in watching the popular children’s film ‘Frozen’.

Davis wrote: “I NEVER PUT MY HANDS ON MY CHILD MOTHER NOR MY F***ING DAUGHTER ARE YOU F****** CRAZY!!’ Davis wrote. ‘I’M NOT A MONSTER.”

“I’ve been quiet for too long. I don’t have media team, PR, good lawyer…spokesman nothing off that… that’s the only reason I’m doing this now! Just to clear my name!”
