Francis Ngannou is currently a free agent. The former UFC heavyweight champion has previously hinted about a boxing bout with Tyson Fury, the current WBC Heavyweight Champion. Ngannou recently responded to the conditions imposed by a possible rival on Twitter.
In his conversation with Boxer, Fury said:
“If the [Oleksandr] Usyk fight don’t get done, we’ll be looking at Francis Ngannou for the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ title. I’m sure the WBC can make that up for me. What I was thinking is we do four-ounce gloves in a cage under Queensberry rules with a bad a** referee like Mike Tyson.”
Ngannou responded to Fury’s requests on Twitter by stating that he accepted all of them as follows:
“*4oz gloves ✅*Cage ✅*Mike Tyson as referee ✅*Queensberry rules✅ What else?- Baddest Man on the Planet”
*4oz gloves ✅️
*Cage ✅️
*Mike Tyson as referee ✅️
*Queensberry rules✅️What else?

Following Fury’s knockout of Dillian Whyte to defend his WBC championship in 2022, the two initially hinted at a prospective crossover boxing bout. Although nothing has been confirmed, both fighters would probably earn a sizable sum of money if they would wind up facing off in 2023.
Joe Rogan still has Francis Ngannou’s best interests in mind even if Ngannou is no longer affiliated with the UFC. Rogan also wants Ngannou to get a big purse.
On The Joe Rogan Experience MMA Show episode #135, the podcast presenter said the following to Paul Felder :
“I just want him to get that payday… [The UFC] offered him more money than any heavyweight, but I think the sticking point was that he wanted to be able to go off and do boxing. To his credit, he’s like, ‘Conor McGregor did it, why can’t I do it?’… Conor made $100 million in the Floyd Mayweather fight. That’s generational wealth.”
