Former UFC champ Jamahal Hill threatened to knock out Hall of Famer Joanna Jedrzejczyk after dispute at UFC 323

A tense confrontation at UFC 323 has sparked controversy after former light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill issued a threatening warning to UFC Hall of Famer Joanna Jedrzejczyk during what witnesses describe as a heated exchange.

The incident reportedly began when Jedrzejczyk allegedly acted aggressively toward Hill’s partner, prompting the former champion to intervene.

According to sources present at the event, Hill directly confronted Jedrzejczyk with an explicit warning: “Do not touch my girl or Ima knock you the f**k out.”

When the Polish competitor responded by questioning whether Hill would actually follow through, he replied, “Period!” The situation escalated to the point where security personnel had to step in and restrain Jedrzejczyk.

In a video statement released following the incident, Jedrzejczyk addressed the controversy without specifically naming Hill or his partner. The former strawweight champion expressed her disappointment at finding herself in such a situation.

“I worked so hard to earn my reputation and I’m embarrassed to be in this situation but when somebody uses my name falsely without any basis in truth I will always stand up for myself and for that I do not deserve to be threatened,” Jedrzejczyk stated.

The 38-year-old star, who was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2024, went on to emphasize her position as someone with unique advantages in confronting such situations. “I am mindful that I am a strong capable woman who has the benefit of a lifetime of self-defense training. I have a platform and resources that most women don’t have,” she said.

Jedrzejczyk also used the moment to advocate for women who find themselves in similar situations without the same advantages. “So I empathize with the women who are disrespected and threatened, and lack the power and means to stand up for themselves. And to stand up for the truth,” she added.

The former champion expressed her disappointment with how such situations unfold in public settings. “I expect more from the society. I certainly expect more from athletes in our sport,” Jedrzejczyk stated.

She thanked UFC security and staff for their professionalism in handling the situation and concluded by wishing everyone a happy and healthy holiday season, suggesting she considers the matter resolved.
