Football legend, Brett Favre: To think we need a bill to keep men out of women’s sports is absolutely insane

In a recent interview, NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre voiced his support for keeping women’s sports exclusively female, describing it as “common sense.”

The former Green Bay Packers star, who is a father to two daughters, expressed his views on the ongoing debate surrounding transgender athletes in women’s sports. Favre emphasized the importance of speaking up for one’s beliefs, particularly on issues he considers straightforward.

“It’s crazy because most of it’s common sense,” Favre stated. “And to think that we’re having a discussion, that our president has to sign a bill to keep men out of women’s sports is absolutely insane. But that’s the world we’re in right now.”

Favre, whose daughters are 36 and 25 years old, reflected on conversations with them about being more outspoken on various issues. “Oftentimes they would say things like, Dad, why do you want to not post that?” he shared.

The former quarterback, who also has three grandsons, believes the country is moving toward more stable decision-making. “Our country and the decisions that are being made right now are becoming more stable and back to the norm,” he said.

Concluding his thoughts, Favre emphasized the importance of public discourse on such matters: “I feel like the more we speak up and back common sense thinking, the better off we’re going to be.”
