Sweeney’s connection to the MMA world has not gone unnoticed by fans. She has been spotted attending major UFC events, immersing herself in the electrifying atmosphere of the sport. Most notably, Sweeney was seen at UFC 288 on May 6, where she caught the attention of Dillon Danis, who eagerly requested a picture with her.

Sweeney’s involvement in mixed martial arts extends beyond mere curiosity. During a interview, she revealed that her MMA training began at the young age of 14, and she even started competing at 18.

“It was a grappling competition against all guys a weight category above me, and I got first place. Those guys were probably saying, ‘Oh, we didn’t want to hurt her,’ but they were definitely trying. Everyone broke a sweat!” Sweeney said.

She also explained that due to her acting role in The White Lotus and Euphoria, she had to stop training.

“My mom and my dad would tell me to try and fall in love with as many things as possible. [I was] very into it. Unfortunately, you sign a little piece of paper that says you’re not to do X, Y, and Z and I am all of X, Y, and Z..” Sweeney said in an interview with The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Recounting a notable grappling competition, Sweeney reminisced about triumphing against male opponents in a higher weight category. Although her opponents may have underestimated her, they soon discovered her formidable skills, leading to intense bouts and undeniable admiration.
