Elon Musk calls Mark Zuckerberg a ‘chicken’ for pulling out of MMA challenge

In an unexpected twist of events, two of the globe’s most affluent and influential individuals find themselves embroiled in a heated clash.

Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have been teasing the world with the prospect of a mixed martial arts showdown. UFC president Dana White has boldly proclaimed that this hypothetical match would transcend all boundaries, emerging as the most monumental pay-per-view event in history. He anticipated that the match would amass an astonishing $1 billion in revenue.

A recent post by Zuckerberg pointedly cast Elon Musk’s sincerity into question, insinuating that Musk might not be as resolute about the bout as he portrays.

In his message, Zuckerberg claimed that it was “time to move on” unless Musk was serious about announcing a specific time and date for their match.

He wrote: “I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious and it’s time to move on. I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead.”

“If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I’m going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously.”

But Musk was quick to retaliate, subtly hinting that it was Zuckerberg who was retreating from the contest. Prior to the match being called off, Musk reportedly contacted Zuckerberg to say that he wanted to meet up with him at his Palo Alto home to spar.

Musk tweeted:

Ashley St. Clair (also known as ‘stclairashley’ on Twitter) shared a screenshot of Zuckerberg’s post with the caption: “Mark Zuckerberg confirms he is absolutely no fun in a painfully boring post on that other app.”

Musk seized the opportunity to amplify the campaign against Zuckerberg. He echoed Ashley’s sentiment by retweeting her post and appending his own caption.

Musk tweeted: “Zuck is a chicken.”

However, several fans agreed that Zuckerberg could well be on to something.

A user commented: “Just need to give him a date.”

Another person stated, “Not sure why you think so. He keeps trying to get a time and you keep postponing. Right?”
