Eddie Hall: I wanna rip Dillon Danis’ arms and legs off his torso

In a recent interview on The Helwani Show, former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall expressed keen interest in facing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu specialist Dillon Danis in what would be a classic clash of contrasting styles and physiques.

Hall, who weighed approximately 330 pounds during his strongman career, addressed rumors that had been circulating since March about a potential showdown with Danis.

“They said it was in talks. They said it was gonna happen but the weight difference couldn’t make it,” Hall explained. “I never got a part of that conversation, you know, so they put this thing on Instagram saying it nearly happened. If it nearly happened, it was news to me because I was never a part of any conversations to face Dillon Danis.”

Despite the initial confusion, Hall now appears eager to make the matchup a reality. The British strongman believes this type of cross-discipline contest is exactly what fans of novelty combat sports want to see.

“I think that’s exactly what this freak fighting is,” Hall said. “It’s like someone with zero experience coming in and fighting a world champion. And Dillon Danis may not be a good striker, but he is one of, if not the best in the world at Jiu-Jitsu.”

The potential matchup presents an intriguing stylistic clash – Hall’s raw power against Danis’s technical grappling expertise.

“You put a world champion Jiu-Jitsu against a 150 kilo ex-World’s Strongest Man – what happens? I think that is entertainment. I think that is something people want to see,” Hall continued.

Concluding his thoughts with characteristic bravado, Hall issued a direct challenge to potential promoters: “Misfits, KSW, whoever, make that fight happen. I want to rip Dillon Danis’s arms and legs off his torso.”

The significant weight difference between the two athletes remains a major obstacle to making this contest a reality, with Hall likely outweighing Danis by well over 100 pounds. However, in the evolving landscape of celebrity and crossover combat sports, stranger matchups have certainly come to fruition.

Neither Misfits Boxing nor KSW have officially commented on the possibility of promoting such an event.
