Drake stands up for Diaz brothers, calls out former Jake Paul’s employee

Canadian rapper Drake has voiced his opinion on the recent argument at the Paul vs. Diaz press conference between Nate Diaz and a reporter employed by Jake Paul. Drake took to Instagram to criticize the reporter for his actions.

He uploaded a clip from the press conference and wrote: “Man, why would you play with a real G. This is a weak generation.”

The incident occurred when the person introduced himself as a reporter from Betr Media. He then proceeded to ask Diaz about the possibility of a matchup between him and Nate’s brother Nick Diaz.

He said: “Nate, I’m actually a boxer myself and I’ve been trying to get into this undercard. I am just wondering if you think I could fight your brother Nick? If he’s anything like you, I think I’d beat his fu**in a**.”

However, the reporter’s rude approach did not sit well with Nate. Diaz warned him by saying: “Brother, what are you just gonna walk around the streets or some s**t? You know all my homeboys see you right now?”

“That was stupid… Yeah, that was stupid… Hey Derek from Betr Media, stupid a*s motherf***er. What the f**k? You deserve to get your a** whooped.”

Following his submission win against Tony Ferguson at UFC 279, Nate Diaz became a free agent. He then decided to make his boxing debut against Youtuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. The bout will take place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, on August 5 and will consist of eight three-minute rounds.

During the press conference, Nate Diaz shared how the decision to compete against Paul came about. He had been trying to get out of the UFC for some time, knowing his worth and what he and other combatants should be paid. When he saw what Jake Paul was doing, Diaz realized he had a worthy opponent to take on as soon as he became a free agent.

Diaz stated: “I’ve been trying to get out of the UFC for a long time cause I knew what I was worth, what fighters are worth, and what I should do. It was a long road… He [Jake Paul] was doing the biggest and the best things out… and I was glad I had a worthy opponent to make an attack on as soon as I got out.”

Fans are eagerly anticipating the showdown between Diaz and Paul, which promises to be an exciting and highly competitive bout.
