Does Ian Garry really have a Conor McGregor tattoo?

UFC welterweight prospect Ian Garry revealed that he has a tattoo that was inspired by fellow Irishman Conor McGregor. Garry said he was inspired after the UFC star sent him a message following his debut victory.

Ian Garry previously trained at Straight Blast Gym (SBG) Ireland where UFC star Conor McGregor used to train. The 24-year-old Irish athlete then moved to Sanford MMA to train alongside grizzled vets and welterweight contenders like Gilbert Burns and Vicente Luque.

‘The Future’ had his UFC debut in November 2021 and has gone 3-0 since then. His latest bout was at UFC 276 last weekend where he defeated fellow prospect Gabriel Green via unanimous decision.

Following his recent victory, Conor McGregor congratulated him on Twitter and jokingly called him ‘little daisy’.

“You little f*ckin daisy Ian! The step back, back paw and all ahahahaja just absolutely incredible! Congrats [Ian Garry].” McGregor wrote.

Ian Garry is a huge fan of Conor McGregor and the former two-division champion is also proud of Garry’s success so far. During a recent interview with BT Sport, Garry confirmed that he got his tattoo after McGregor called him ‘daisy’ after his UFC debut. He then inked a daisy flower tattoo on his right arm.

Garry also expressed how he admires Conor McGregor so much. He said he was glad that his victories in the UFC helped motivate McGregor during his recovery.

“And that I could potentially bring any motivation to him (McGregor), to me is special. And I was just like, look, anything that I can give back to you, in any shape or form, has already been given to me 10-fold by your career.” Garry said.

Ian Garry is undefeated in his professional MMA career, boasting of 9 victories since he started his career in 2019. He won the Cage Warriors championship before finally joining the UFC in November last year.
