MMA ‘analyst’ Brendan Schaub admitted the part he played in Jake Paul’s water balloon stick up back in April.
“I told [Dillon Danis] that there’s a chance [Jake Paul’s] coming. I said, ‘Hey just like, you know, I talked to Jake and Logan last night and he said he might come by and he goes, ‘Bro, if he comes, I’ll beat the s**t out of him.’ I went, ‘No doubt. But you have one leg. One leg.'” is what Schaub revealed.
Logan Paul went on to add it was all his idea.
“You know where your mistake was in that whole thing? You told me that you were having Dillon Danis on the next day. I said, ‘Yo, Jake, Dillon’s gonna be here tomorrow at this time. Consider rolling up.'”
Jake Paul had showed up with a truck full of water balloons during a segment Danis was recording for Schaub’s then showtime show Food Truck Diaries.
Danis just went on MMA Hour and detailed how he wasn’t irked about the setup itself but he felt a lot more irked at how Schaub had presented himself as having his back.
Helwani has been fostering an animosity toward Schaub ever since Schaub ineptly parroted some inaccurate takes on what happened between Helwani and UFC.
Danis didn’t feel like Schaub had done him a great disservice by leaking the location so he could get pranked by Jake Paul – however he did feel betrayed because Schaub had said he had his back.
“But I’ll tell you how it went. He did. He didn’t tell me, but he kind of like he was like, oh, they were fishing around on text like asking what time and stuff like that just wanted to to let you know. That’s all he said. He was just like, I wanna let you know… So he kind of gave me a heads up, but he didn’t.”
Dillon went on to reveal he plans to go on Food truck diaries again and has no ill will about the prank because it didn’t really bring any real harm to him.
“I think. I think Schaub, to be honest, I don’t think he’s a bad guy. ”
“And this is one thing that pisses me off, but I’ll tell you, okay? Because he was like, ‘Yo, if anybody does come, I got your back,’ this and that.”
“And then like when the car pulls up, I run over. He doesn’t move, this motherf**ker. I’m by myself like 8 guys on the car. ”
