In a recent episode of “Good Guy Bad Guy” with Chael Sonnen, UFC analyst and former double champion Daniel Cormier expressed skepticism about Alex Pereira’s claim that his social media was hacked.
During a discussion about upcoming UFC events, Cormier made a surprising detour to address the recent controversy surrounding UFC champion Alex Pereira, who had claimed his social media account was compromised after controversial posts appeared.

“First off, Pereira is a liar,” Cormier stated bluntly. “Pereira did not get hacked yesterday.”
The former heavyweight champion elaborated on why he found the hacking claim suspicious, noting several peculiarities about the alleged hack. “It was a very unusual hack, right? It was too specific. He didn’t use profanity. It kind of sounded like Pereira.”

Cormier then presented his theory about what might have actually happened. He suggested that UFC executive Hunter Campbell, who was recently spotted in Dagestan meeting with Islam Makhachev, may have been discussing potential match-ups for the upcoming International Fight Week.
According to Cormier’s speculation, Pereira might have been informed that he wasn’t getting a desired fight, which prompted him to post something in frustration. After receiving a call advising him to calm down, Pereira may have claimed he was hacked to save face.
“That’s my thought. That’s what happens,” Cormier said.
Sonnen, who initially seemed surprised by Cormier’s accusation, appeared to warm to the theory as the conversation continued. “The hacker was very nice for being a hacker. He was quite polite and he was quite specific, not to mention he did have his feelings hurt, which is the position allegedly that Pereira would be in,” Sonnen noted.
The timing of the alleged hack, coinciding with Campbell’s meetings in Dagestan, further fueled Cormier’s skepticism about Pereira’s claim.
