Dana White Shades Kayla Harrison: If Nunes Fought Kayla’s Opponents They’d Be Dead

In a recent conversation with Kevin Iole in Yahoo Sports, Dana White once again underestimated Kayla Harrison by implying she is nothing compared to UFC’s top female fighters, especially Amanda Nunes.

Dana White said Harrison only won those fights is because all of her opponents are unimpressive. White even said that if Amanda Nunes thought any of Harrison’s previous opponents, there might be the first death in MMA.

“Kayla Harrison hasn’t fought anybody yet. She hasn’t fought anybody. Let me put Amanda Nunes in with the girls that she’s fought, might be the first death in MMA, okay? And listen, I like her. I got nothing against her. But come on, let’s be honest.”  Said Dana White to Iole.

Previously, Kayla Harrison said she will be the greatest of all time. But Dana White still doubts that Kayla Harrison would perform well in UFC as there are a lot of other female fighters with outstanding accomplishments. But he’s not exactly honest – considering the dire state of the 145 lbs division after the UFC decided to release Cris Cyborg.

Kayla Harrison, who is currently a free agent, is one of the best judokas in the world and has won 2 Olympic gold medals. She used to fight in Professional Fighter League (PFL) and has won two championships in 2019 and 2021. Harrison is also number 10 in The MMA Fighting Global Rankings pound-for-pound list.

On the other hand, Amanda Nunes is the queen of UFC. She is the current best female fighter as she is number 1 in UFC and The MMA Fighting Global Rankings pound-for-pound list. Nunes is also the current female champion of the bantamweight and featherweight division. She has defended those titles several times and is currently on 12 fight winning streak.
