Dana White Makes A U-Turn On Jake Paul Coming Into The UFC

Dana White has been at the helm of the UFC for ages. In that time he’s taken part in several stunts – most notably signing CM Punk. But the Jake Paul spat has been the first time White has been completely incapable of dictating the narrative of a conflict he was in.

“It’s not that he doesn’t have my respect, I don’t even know the kid,” White told the FULL SEND podcast.

“To be honest with you, right here right now, this is the last time you’ll hear me talking about him. I’m done with it.

“Would I let him (in the UFC)? Well, he can do whatever he wants to do. I don’t know. I don’t think that would ever happen but listen, I never say never anymore.” White said as transcribed by sportsbible.

Many believe Paul has triumphed over White and the UFC – because fighter’s pay is such a popular subject – and because Paul did his best to expose it thanks to his World wide audience.

“Say what you want about Jake Paul, but he has taken the fight game [and] flipped it on his head. Dana is coming after him. Listen, Dana only goes after people that he’s threatened by. He has all the money in the world, so when you threaten his business model, which Jake Paul is doing… He’s completely flipped the game. He’s the chink in their armor,” said Brendan Schaub.

Paul already responded by saying:
.

when I make my MMA debut, I could cut 20 pounds & do it at Welterweight / 170 pounds. That’s what all UFC fighters do and many have destroyed their bodies & minds doing it.

But I’m gonna do it at Middleweight (185). Health first.
