Dana White: I saw f***ing pillow fighting on TV tonight, I don’t wanna hear another word about Power Slap

UFC President Dana White didn’t mince words after discovering an unusual sporting event while channel surfing in Australia, taking aim at critics of his Power Slap league in the process.

White, who is currently Down Under for UFC 293, expressed his disbelief at coming across pillow competition programming during his hotel stay.

“I saw f***ing pillow fighting on f***ing TV tonight here in Australia,” White remarked, clearly bewildered by what he had witnessed on Australian television.

The outspoken promoter then directed his comments toward those who have criticized Power Slap, his controversial slap-fighting league that launched earlier this year. “I don’t ever want to hear another word from you people about Power Slap, okay? Ever,” he declared.

The comments appear to be White’s way of defending Power Slap against detractors who have questioned its legitimacy as a sport, suggesting that if pillow competition can make it to television, there should be no controversy surrounding his slap-fighting venture.

Power Slap has faced scrutiny since its inception, but White has remained steadfast in his support of the competition format, which has found a broadcast home on TBS and the Rumble streaming platform.
