UFC CEO Dana White recently took aim at the Paul brothers during their appearance on the Impaulsive podcast, criticizing their choice of opponents and questioning the legitimacy of their boxing careers.
When host Logan Paul attempted to bridge the gap between himself and White, the UFC boss didn’t hold back his thoughts on the Paul brothers’ strategies. White specifically called out their tendency to compete against opponents who aren’t their size, stating bluntly: “you guys need to fight guys you’re same size.”
The criticism became particularly pointed when White discussed Logan’s high-profile bout against Floyd Mayweather. “When you fought Floyd, you are massive. You’re a massive dude, Floyd’s tiny,” White observed. He highlighted the significant size disparity that characterized that matchup. He noted how Logan was able to use his physical advantages during the match, explaining that Logan could “get inside on him put his weight on him tie him up.”
White’s critique extended to Jake Paul’s career trajectory as well. When discussing potential matchups, White referenced Jake’s rumored match with Gervonta Davis, again emphasizing the size differential. “Gervonta I think hits way harder than Floyd but he’s too small,” White explained.
Despite his criticism, White made it clear that his issues aren’t personal. “I don’t hate your brother,” he told Logan, emphasizing that his critique was business-focused rather than driven by animosity. He acknowledged that both brothers are “out there doing his thing” but maintained his position that competing against similarly-sized opponents would provide better tests of their abilities.
