Eddie Bravo is determined to spice it up. The Eddie Bravo Invitational founder is pushing hard for his Combat Jiu Jitsu event to be accepted by the mainstream audience. In order to get this accomplished Bravo enlisted Aussie bjj phenom (and Alex Volkanovski bjj coach) Craig Jones to duke it out with Donald Cowboy Cerrone – an active UFC veteran.
In the main event of the evening Craig Jones grappled jiu jitsu black belt Cowboy Cerrone. To the delight of the audience the match didn’t go the distance. The B Team founder based out of Austin, Texas had a quick showcase ultimately submitting Cowboy after a somewhat one sided 5 minutes of match.
Originally the card was to feature another UFC og in Uriah Faber. However Faber appeared to be unable to get into Mexico due to passport issues and was replaced.
