Conor McGregor spotted wearing wedding ring after 5 year engagement

MMA icon Conor McGregor has sparked speculation that he may have finally married his long-term partner Dee Devlin. McGregor was spotted wearing what appeared to be a wedding ring during a recent promotional appearance in Rome.

The 37-year-old, who proposed to Devlin back in August 2020, made the revelation while promoting the BKFC ahead of an event on Saturday. Speaking openly about his personal life, McGregor referred to Devlin as his “fiancee, wife-to-be soon,” hinting that nuptials may be imminent for the couple who have been together since 2008.

The relationship between McGregor and Devlin has been one of the more enduring partnerships in combat sports. They first crossed paths in Dublin when McGregor was unemployed and relatively unknown in the combat world. Now, nearly two decades later, his fortune is estimated to exceed £150 million, and Devlin has remained by his side through both triumphs and controversies.

The couple share four children together: son Conor Jack Jr., born in May 2017; daughter Croía, born in January 2019; son Rían, born in May 2021; and their youngest, son Mack, who arrived in November 2023.

During his appearance in Rome, McGregor spoke extensively about what he described as a recent spiritual transformation. “I am not here just by chance. There is a higher power, God, that dictates my journey and all of our journeys,” he stated. “I live my life by God’s word, since around the last time you mentioned at the last event, I have engaged on a spiritual journey. I am saved. I am healed.”

The fighter’s religious commentary isn’t entirely new territory for him. Back in 2013, he publicly identified himself as a “born-again Christian,” referencing biblical language from the Gospel of John.

McGregor used the occasion to toast his family, saying: “Now I’m here with my own family, my beautiful children, my fiancee, wife-to-be soon.”

His comments come during a difficult period for the Irishman. In July, McGregor lost his appeal in a high-profile civil case, having been found liable and ordered to pay his accuser Nikita Hand €250,000 (approximately £218,000) plus costs. Three judges in the Dublin Court of Appeal rejected all grounds of his appeal following the November ruling. Devlin has publicly supported McGregor throughout the legal proceedings.

On the professional front, McGregor is targeting a return to the octagon at a highly anticipated UFC event scheduled for the White House next June. He hasn’t competed since 2021, when he suffered a loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.

Earlier this month, he accepted an 18-month ban for violating the UFC’s Anti-D*ping Policy, though his eligibility period began in September 2024, making him available to compete after March 20, 2026.

BKFC president David Feldman expressed confidence in McGregor’s upcoming return, stating: “You’re going to see the best Conor McGregor you’ve ever seen when he returns to the Octagon.”

McGregor himself emphasized his renewed competitive drive, declaring: “My competitive spark that was once in my heart is now a roaring blaze. I’m eager. Right now I have to dial myself in and go inward, and that I’ve done, and now I’m in a stage where I come back and show what I’m about.”

Whether the ring spotted on his finger confirms a secret ceremony or simply signals imminent wedding plans remains unclear.
