Conor McGregor recently boldly called out YouTube sensation KSI for a bare-knuckle boxing showdown. This call-out comes right on the heels of witnessing Anthony Joshua’s impressive knockout victory over Robert Helenius in London this evening.
The UFC icon was present at ringside, proudly representing his brand Forged Irish Stout. He sponsored Joshua’s latest ring outfit. Immediately after the match, McGregor took to the ring.
In an interview conducted by host Ade Oladipo, McGregor did the unexpected by calling out KSI.
Both McGregor and KSI have made remarkable transitions from their respective fields into the boxing ring. KSI is a renowned YouTube personality and chart-topping rapper and has successfully ventured into the boxing world. On the other hand, McGregor is an iconic figure in MMA. He is now eager to cross paths with KSI in a bare-knuckle match held within the squared circle.
During his interview after the match, McGregor said: “Greatness don’t rush. Joshua took his time, he landed a big heavy shot, I’m just happy Helenius got up. The fans should be grateful for the Finnish coming in, last minute replacement, no fear he gave a great performance, did himself proud and his team and I’m happy to see him get up.”
“Big congrats to AJ, big congrats to Eddie, big congrats Forged Irish Stout, and I know your man KSI is in the crowd and he couldn’t box eggs if he worked in an egg boxing factory. So if he wants to get in here I’ll give him a final yoke, bare-knuckle if you want!”
KSI promptly reacted to McGregor’s challenge on Twitter, writing: “Good KO from AJ, shame Conor got him to drink that filth kmt [kiss my teeth]. Lmao [Laughing my a** off] just seen this. Jake Paul must be crying that I’ve got Conor on my d*** already and I didn’t even have to fight an MMA fighter.”
KSI is currently focused on his upcoming clash with Tommy Fury scheduled for October 14. Meanwhile, it’s anticipated that McGregor will grace the event to support his teammate Dillon Danis, who is set to compete against Logan Paul in the co-main event.
Following his promo, McGregor was captured on camera referring to KSI as a “b**ch.” Joshua then responds to him by saying “That’s my guy!”
KSI’s manager confirmed that KSI has accepted McGregor’s challenge. He said: “After KSI batters Fury, he’s coming to end Connor once and for all!”
