Looksmaxxing influencer Clavicular has found himself at the center of a new controversy after footage surfaced of him explaining why he does not pursue Black women romantically.
In the clip now circulating widely across social media platforms, Clavicular is asked directly by influencer DeenTheGreat whether he finds Black women attractive.
His response is immediate. “No,” he says.
When pressed to elaborate, Clavicular does not soften his stance. “It’s not my type,” he explains, before shifting to a claim about body composition. “They usually just tend to carry a little bit of extra weight on them,” he adds.
DeenTheGreat then escalates the conversation, making a more explicit and controversial statement about weight and race. “They’re usually fat and obese. You know most obese b**ches are what? Black,” he says.
He follows that remark with a disclaimer directed at his audience. “I love my black queens though. But hey, y’all gotta get in the gym, bruh. Y’all gotta get y’all fat a*s in the gym,” he adds.
Clavicular signals agreement and attempts to support the discussion with a statistic, stating, “That’s what I’m saying. The average weight of a Black woman in America is 185 lbs (approximately 84 kg).”
The remarks have not been taken in a positive note online, particularly given the influence Clavicular has over young male audiences. His platform is built around looksmaxxing, a self-improvement philosophy centered on maximizing physical attractiveness.
His girlfriend, Mia, recently drew significant backlash after a video surfaced in which she argued that beauty standards associated with non-white women, specifically fuller lips and curvier figures, have been deliberately promoted and pushed onto white women.
“There have been a lot of like beauty standards that have been pushed that are just not natural like big butts and like we all know where that comes from, big lips like we all know where that comes from,” she said.
She framed the shift, saying: “That’s just not natural, it’s not in our DNA and like we’ve just been pushed, we’ve literally been pushed to be attracted to that for the exact reason why we are dying as a breed.”
The clip drew mixed responses, with some viewers expressing agreement while others took issue with the racial framing underpinning her argument.
Clavicular himself has been deliberate about separating his brand from political commentary. On the Jack Neel podcast, he addressed his relationship with conservative media directly, recalling how a Daily Wire appearance left many viewers with the mistaken impression that he had a political agenda.
“Politics is jester,” he has said on multiple occasions, and he made clear on the show that outside pressure to align himself with any ideological movement is something he actively resists.
“Especially on the Daily Wire and stuff, they really wanted me to be in support of like the rightwing and telling young voters to sort of like join this cultural movement and I’m just like, no, it’s such a waste of time,” he said.
“There are so much better things to prioritize. And the average person does not have the time to be dedicating hours scrolling on Twitter, listening to podcasts about politics. It’s all extremely counterproductive when you’re struggling, when you’re at a huge disadvantage with your sexual market value, whether that be from your income, whether that be from your looks,” he said on the podcast.
