Chase Hooper delivers TKO finish, cashes in $50k bonus

Chase Hooper is just 22 years old and yet he’s been with the UFC since 2019. While his record in the promotion is spotty thus far – there’s certainly plenty room to grow. Hooper went into tonight with a 2-2 record in the promotion and overall 10 wins, 2 losses.

Hooper usually prefers favoring his jiu jitsu but this time he opted to display his striking which did indeed improve.

Hooper mounted the back of Felipe Colares and landed grueling ground and pound. He leveraged his dangerous jiu jitsu in order to land a flurry of strikes to the sides of Colares’ head before landing the victory.

Hooper has a long running gag that he’s Ben Askren’s son due to his curly fro. Askren was watching Hooper’s performance and took the opportunity to congratulate him on a dominant performance.
