UFC analyst and former competitor Chael Sonnen has found himself in an uncomfortable position, spending considerable time analyzing controversial photos allegedly involving Conor McGregor.
Speaking candidly on his podcast, Sonnen admitted he “can’t quit staring at Connor’s di**” while discussing the images that have surfaced online.
The situation became particularly awkward when Sonnen shared the photos with his partner Ryan, who opened them on his computer just as his wife entered the room. “We have to explain what’s happening here. I don’t know how to explain it, but I can’t stop looking there,” Sonnen confessed.
The controversy centers around two separate photos. The first shows McGregor on a beach with a woman Sonnen describes as “a solid four,” engaged in what he characterizes as an unconvincing kiss.
“It did not look like a passionate or romantic public display of affection,” Sonnen observed. “This was like bragging because you held a stripper’s hand. It’d be a weird kiss to give your cousin, but you could.”
Sonnen expressed skepticism about the authenticity of the beach scene, noting that everyone in the photo appeared out of place. “This does not look like beach people, partygoers, fight fans, Connor security. It doesn’t look like anything like that,” he said.
The second photo allegedly shows McGregor in a more explicit situation. According to Sonnen’s understanding, McGregor “strips, he unsolicited Brett Favres, but he attached a weight to his mini me” before sending the image without consent.
Despite the salacious nature of the allegations, Sonnen remains skeptical about their authenticity. Drawing from his entertainment industry experience, he suggests the photos might be AI-generated or from a film set. “Connor’s eyes are doing some weird stuff and it just looked like potential AI,” he noted.
Sonnen also questioned the logistics of the alleged behavior, particularly given McGregor’s reported dr*g use. “You got a drunk for sure. You got a cokehead, and you got a crooked penile function with a makeshift weight on it. It’s a lot for me to accept that’s true.”
“If I had to guess, I don’t think it is,” Sonnen concluded, expressing his belief that the photos are likely fabricated.
Amidst the drama, Conor McGregor has been teasing a potential return to the Octagon. He recently expressed keen interest in a high-profile event that might even take place at the White House.
