Canelo became the second highest earning athlete per minute on the planet

Canelo Alvarez is one of the world’s best boxers and the undisputed super middleweight champion, which has made him a fortune. Even though he makes millions of dollars from his job in the ring, he is now the second-highest paid athlete in the world per minute because of his success as a businessman.

The Jalisco boxer made 284 million dollars in 72 minutes in the ring, or one million dollars every two minutes and 15 seconds. This is a record-breaking amount for any athlete in the world, yet he is not really a particularly active competitor.

Even if they are not the highest in the world, the Mexicans’ financials are amazing. However, Conor McGregor is the reigning dollar king. In 2022, he topped the list with total earnings of $19.5 million dollars, or $7.7 million per minute.

Dak Prescott, who earns 81.2 million dollars in 300 minutes of playing time, takes third position in terms of earnings per minute. His rate of adding $1 million to his bank account every three minutes and five seconds appears out of this world.

Canelo stands out among athletes who boost their global economic fortunes the most. However, this may alter in 2023 depending on how many bouts the Mexican announces that year and how much his rivals make.

Recently, Alvarez threatened Lionel Messi for allegedly “kicking” a Mexican shirt in a video. Lionel Messi may be seen in what was first thought to be him mopping the floor with a Mexican flag in the video.

Alvarez then expressed his displeasure with Messi’s behaviour on Twitter. He tweeted: “He better pray to God that I don’t find him.”

Soon after his initial tweet, Alvarez faced criticism for his response from sports fans all around the globe.
