UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell is experiencing unsettling nights ahead of his upcoming bout against Jean Silva at UFC 314 in Miami on April 12, 2025. In a revealing Instagram video posted on March 17, 2025, Mitchell shared his supernatural struggles since the event’s press conference.
“Good morning, y’all,” Mitchell began in his video. “I need all my Christian warriors to pray for me that I will have peaceful sleep. Every single night since the day before the press conference, I’ve had demonic dreams. Legions of demons are attacking me every single time I sleep, and not one time have I seen any peaceful sleep since that day.”
The Arkansas native detailed the nature of these disturbing visions. “These demons surround me, and they try to provoke me to anger, and then the dream will switch, and they’ll send beautiful women, and they’re trying to get me to lust, to cheat on my wife. Satan’s using two of my weaknesses to try to expose the evil in my own heart, which is anger and lust. However, where I am weak, the Lord is strong,” he explained.
Mitchell traces these experiences back to the March 7 press conference in Las Vegas, where Silva mocked his flat Earth beliefs by brandishing a globe, leading to crowd chants against him. Mitchell sees a deeper meaning in the encounter.
“I’m not just facing a man on April 12,” Mitchell stated. “I’m facing a man possessed by a legion of demons. When I simply said the name Jesus, he was provoked to maliciousness, and he started barking like a dog and chanting ‘F-you, f-you, f-you.'”

Mitchell, known for his unconventional perspectives, emphasized his spiritual motivation: “Remember guys, the days of competing for myself are long gone. I now compete for the name of the Lord and the devil, he ain’t gonna waste his time trying to plague a loser. He knows that a victory for the Lord is at hand. I will win this in the name of Jesus Christ. The man’s demons will be casted out of my presence and he will fall before me just as Goliath fell before King David.”
The 30-year-old Mitchell (17-2) enters the bout following a victory over Kron Gracie at UFC 310 in December 2024. His opponent, 28-year-old Brazilian Silva (17-0), remains undefeated with four consecutive UFC victories, most recently defeating Melsik Baghdasaryan in February 2025. Silva currently stands as the betting favorite for their upcoming clash at the Kaseya Center.
