Bryce Mitchell calls out MMA Media: They are cowards and entertainers who won’t debate me

In a fiery interview with The MMA Guru, UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell pulled no punches when discussing what he perceives as the cowardice of the MMA media landscape.

“These so-called journalists they’re not journalists they’re bought and paid for,”

Mitchell proclaimed.

“They get told what to do they get told to bend over and they say how far they don’t form their own opinions they’re cowards.”

Mitchell’s frustration stems from what he sees as unfair treatment from media outlets, particularly following recent controversies surrounding his outspoken views. The Arkansas native has faced criticism for his opinions on various topics, but he maintains that the media has misrepresented him and refuses to engage with him directly.

“If any of them is not a coward then invite me on their show I debate these sons of b**** and I will make them look like fools because their knowledge is inferior,”

Mitchell challenged.

“I base my confidence off of my knowledge my knowledge comes from my research.”

“People can come out and call me an inbred r*tard,” Mitchell stated matter-of-factly. “And both of those are completely untrue statements.”

The 29-year-old, who has gained notoriety for his unique perspectives and outspoken nature, continued his defense with a notably deadpan delivery.

“I mean, we can scientifically prove I’m not inbred and I’m not retarded, but people say it,” Mitchell added, maintaining his composure while addressing the personal insults.

Unlike many fighters who avoid confrontation with the media, Mitchell appears eager to engage in direct debate, believing his research and knowledge would prevail in any discussion. He expressed particular frustration with what he perceives as a double standard in how he’s portrayed compared to others in the MMA world.

“I’m confident in my history and once again I hate no group of people,”

Mitchell stated.

“I hate no group of people and you’ll never hear me say that and I never did you coward rat bastards.”

During the interview, Mitchell drew a sharp distinction between true journalism and what he believes most MMA coverage has become:

“They’re rats, they really are. They’re not journalists they provide entertainment and that’s how I’ll label them they’re entertainers.”

He elaborated:

“Journalists come to a situation with an open heart and open mind and they report unbiased they don’t let powers that be censor them.”

The featherweight praised The MMA Guru as being “the only journalist in MMA that I know of,” while acknowledging Jake Shields and James Lynch as others who approach their coverage with journalistic integrity.

As Mitchell prepares for his upcoming bout against Jean Silva at UFC 314, he remains defiant against what he perceives as an industry that has turned against him. Far from being deterred by criticism, Mitchell appears energized by the opportunity to prove himself both in and out of the octagon.

“None of these cowards that belittled me in the media will debate me because that’s what they are,”

Mitchell concluded.

“When you have no nuts you’re just a b**** and that’s what these people are and I don’t care what they have to say about me.”

So considering Mitchell’s hilarious take on MMA media here’s some facts that could be handy for anyone who wants to be entertained:

Mitchell claimed:

“Communism always follows atheism… in a Christian Nation there is no communism.”

This is historically inaccurate. Many predominantly Christian regions have experienced communist governments, including Poland, Romania, and other Eastern European countries that maintained strong Christian populations during communist rule. Additionally, various Christian communist movements have existed throughout history, combining Christian theology with communist principles.

Mitchell asserted:

“When there are Christian nations they are the strongest they conquer the world they seize everything.”

This oversimplifies complex historical dynamics. While some Christian nations achieved imperial power, many non-Christian civilizations have been equally or more powerful throughout history, including the Islamic Caliphates, the Mongol Empire, and ancient China. National power has typically been determined by a complex mix of economic, geographic, technological, and military factors rather than religious affiliation alone.

Mitchell stated:

“For 2,000 years people have known about the firmament… space don’t exist there’s something called a firmament.”

While ancient cosmologies including some biblical interpretations described a “firmament” or dome-like structure above Earth, this concept has been scientifically disproven. Space exploration, astronomical observations, and physics have conclusively demonstrated that space exists and no physical firmament separates Earth from outer space. Modern scientific consensus, including among religious scientists, does not support the existence of a firmament as described in ancient texts.

Mitchell’s reference to the “firmament” is associated with flat earth beliefs. Modern astronomy, physics, and countless observations have definitively proven Earth is spherical.

Mitchell made reference to his German heritage and H*tler, saying:

“H*tler did some dumb sh**, he invaded Russia in the winter.”

This contains a historical inaccuracy. Invasion of the Soviet Union (Operation Barbarossa) began on June 22, 1941 – during summer, not winter. The German forces were eventually caught in the Russian winter because the campaign took longer than expected, but the invasion itself was deliberately timed to avoid winter conditions.

While Mitchell is entitled to his personal beliefs and interpretations, many of his historical claims in this interview do not align with established historical facts or mainstream academic understanding. It’s important for public figures to verify historical claims before presenting them as factual, as inaccurate statements can contribute to historical misunderstandings.

And here’s a bonus round:

Mitchell rejected the scientific theory of evolution, stating:

“I was a total atheist, I was convinced we come from monkeys.”

Later adding,

“Do you believe we come from monkeys because that’s what they teach in school?”

This directly contradicts the overwhelming scientific evidence supporting evolutionary theory, which doesn’t actually claim humans evolved from modern monkeys but rather share common ancestors.

In a claim about Elon Musk and SpaceX, Mitchell stated:

“About SpaceX, total lie. He’s never been to space. Space don’t exist. There’s something called a firmament.”

The existence of space has been confirmed through countless scientific observations, satellite imagery, and space missions, including those undertaken by multiple countries and private companies.

Mitchell dismissed mainstream science education as deliberately false, saying:

“All of these are not only lies, they are deliberately satanic lies.”

This included references to the Big Bang theory, which is supported by substantial astronomical evidence including cosmic microwave background radiation and galactic redshift observations.

Throughout the interview, Mitchell consistently rejected mainstream scientific understanding in favor of religious interpretations, despite the overwhelming evidence supporting these established scientific principles.
