In a heated video response posted to social media, UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell has launched a scathing attack on former champion Ilia Topuria, accusing him of DV.
The confrontation comes after Topuria recently announced he would temporarily step away from defending his title while dealing with what he describes as extortion attempts.
Mitchell addressed the situation in a lengthy video where he appeared wearing a tank top, which he specifically referred to as a “wife beater” in reference to Topuria.
“Y’all remember when I fought Ilia and he won and then afterwards he got a pair of overalls and was making fun of me because I run a farm and I run around in overalls and he thought that was hilarious. Well I got something for you b**ch, this is called the wife beater special,” Mitchell began, setting an aggressive tone for his message.
Bryce, who lost to Topuria in their previous encounter, made serious allegations about the Georgian-Spanish champion’s personal conduct. “That bi**h puts his hands on a woman,” Mitchell stated directly.
Drawing from his own upbringing, Mitchell explained why the topic resonates so deeply with him. “You know I grew up without a dad, you know. Never seen my dad, never will see my dad and you know what, I’d rather not see my dad than have my dad there beating on my mom,” he said. “Let me tell you something, that’ll get you k**led around these parts son, that ain’t no joke, there ain’t nothing funny about it and I just had to let you know you’re a straight up b**ch for that.”
Mitchell extended his challenge beyond Topuria, calling out the champion’s brother as well. “And your brother’s a bi**h too. I’ll beat his a*s, you got lucky I’m sicker, I’ll beat your a*s,” he continued.
The Arkansas native also criticized Topuria’s family situation, stating, “You don’t deserve to get to see your kids, son. Because you put your hands on their mother, you’re a coward.”
Despite the harsh accusations, Mitchell attempted to take a somewhat conciliatory approach toward the end of his message, encouraging Topuria to seek redemption. “But anyways bro, who am I to judge, I fall short of the glory of God too. Ilia, you need to repent, return to Jesus Christ and if you repent you won’t rot in hell, bro. But you better really mean it and you better really repent,” Mitchell said.
He also commented on Topuria’s marital history, saying, “You know, one more thing for you Ilya, wives ain’t like belts okay, it ain’t the more the merrier, you’re supposed to have one man, one woman to become one okay, you’re out running around working on your third wife now, hell, you think they’re championship belts and you’re trying to get three or four, you’re an idiot dude, you need to take notes from a guy like me.”
Mitchell’s accusations come at a particularly sensitive time for Topuria, who recently released a statement announcing his temporary withdrawal from title defense duties. In that statement, the champion revealed he has been subjected to what he describes as extortion attempts involving false allegations of domestic abuse.
Topuria claimed that someone has been threatening to spread unfounded domestic violence allegations unless financial demands were met. The UFC star stated he has preserved evidence including audio recordings, written communications, witness statements, and video material, which he has submitted to judicial authorities for legal action regarding attempted extortion and related charges.
“The truth is not a matter of opinion, it is a matter of evidence,” Topuria wrote in his statement, adding that those who know him can confirm he has “never engaged in violence of any kind.”

The champion indicated his initial silence was meant to protect his children, but he has now decided to address the situation publicly. He expressed confidence in the judicial process and requested privacy for his family during the ongoing legal proceedings.
The situation remains fluid, with Topuria’s legal team presumably working to resolve the extortion claims.
