A prominent bare-knuckle star and his young family are facing a long road to recovery after sustaining serious injuries in a car accident during the Christmas holidays.
BKFC competitor Bekhzod Usmonov was traveling with his wife Victoria and their one-year-old son Maximus when the collision occurred. All three family members required immediate medical attention, with the incident leaving them with extensive injuries.
The youngest member of the family Maximus who had just celebrated his first birthday, underwent surgery to repair a severely fractured arm. The toddler also sustained significant lacerations to his face along with additional injuries.
Victoria Usmonov faces the most critical medical situation of the three. She is undergoing multiple major surgical procedures to address a severely fractured back and a serious leg injury, among other medical concerns.
According to a fundraising appeal organized by Michael Winkeljohn of Jackson Wink MMA Academy, “She is in really bad shape.”
Despite sustaining numerous injuries himself, Bekhzod has postponed his own medical treatment to remain at the bedside of his wife and son as they recover.
The timing of the accident compounds the financial pressure on the family. Victoria had recently started a new job, while Bekhzod had been awaiting a new fight contract. The extended recovery period means he will be unable to train or compete in the near future, creating significant financial strain during an already challenging time.
“They were traveling for Christmas holidays, and such a horrific accident happened to them,” the fundraising appeal states.
Winkeljohn praised Usmonov’s character both inside and outside the ring. “Bekhzod has been a tremendous pillar of our community and always represented Jackson Wink in a bright light,” he wrote. The coach described the fighter as “the epitome of an amazing human being and a great example to everyone on The Team.”
The 30-year-old holds the distinction of being ranked among the top three bare-knuckle fighters globally. He appeared on Season 32 of TUF and has competed across multiple combat sports organizations. His most recent bout was a technical knockout victory over Keith Richardson at a BKFC Fight Night event in February 2025.
Prior to the accident, Usmonov had compiled a professional record that includes victories in both bare-knuckle boxing and mixed martial arts competitions. He has competed for organizations including RCC, iKON FC, and LFA throughout his career.
A GoFundMe campaign was established to assist the family. “Victoria is a wonderful young lady, a great mother, and Little Max is just an adorable little human, and they did not deserve this to happen to them,” Winkeljohn wrote. “Let’s assist his family in such a very difficult time.”
