Tai Emery has promised to keep her clothes on during her upcoming bout in Japan, despite her infamous celebration that went viral after her BKFC debut.
The Australian star turned heads when she lifted her top to celebrate her knockout victory in her first bare-knuckle boxing match last year. While the celebration sparked a social media frenzy, Emery says she’s been advised to refrain from any such antics for her upcoming bout against Charisa Sigala at BKFC Japan on July 28th.
“Everything has been said to me after every single media call, after every single meeting, after every single email, every text message,” Emery revealed. “Anytime I even saw [BKFC President] David [Feldman] when he was here in Dubai, and even then I got the ‘naughty’ talk, and I kind of said to him, ‘I know you want me to say sorry, but I’m never going to say sorry to you.'”

Emery acknowledges that her celebration helped boost her profile, but she recognizes the need to adapt her approach for the Japanese market.
” I was still the first female to even think of something or even just to have enough courage to do something like that,” she told TMZ. “But I’ve been given a memo where I’ve even practiced and got down the Japanese lines just to say, ‘No, I promise that I won’t be naughty one more time.'”
While fans may be disappointed to miss out on another viral moment, Emery is determined to focus on the fight itself, promising a “five-round bloody war” against the experienced Blažková.
“I honestly I try to manifest and visualize the KO, but I also know that like I kind of enjoy like a five-round War,” Emery said. “I think you can learn so much more about yourself in those moments.”
Regardless of how the fight unfolds, Emery’s fans can expect a captivating performance, even if she keeps her top on this time.
Bout happens July 28 (Sun) at Saitama Super Arena.
